Baby Shower Invitation

‪#‎imadeit‬ ‪#‎cricut
This is my first attempt at two things . . . making cards, and using my Cricut Explore. Why I chose this time to volunteer to create baby shower invitations I'm not quite sure, but I think they came out OK. I ended up needing to make more than I originally purchased supplies for, so I had to buy a variety of colored card stock.

The diaper template was purchased from The Cutting Cafe. I printed the liner on my laser printer, cut it out, and use a Fiskar's border punch to edge the legs. I created a little label, added some bling, and "pinned" them on the front. Lucky for me, they fit perfectly into standard invitation envelopes, and I had a box of those on hand. I used a little stamp to stamp baby footprints (in blue, of course) on the flap and Voila! Cute, huh?

  1. I love it! I saw it first on the Cricut Design Space Facebook page. Did you use the cricut explore to do the writing on the inside of the invite?

  2. Thank you, Tina! No, I printed the the text on my printer, then cut it out manually. I haven't tried writing with my Explore yet since it only came with a silver pen. From watching the presentation on HSN though, I got the impression it was wide/bold printing, not really appropriate for this.
