Tulip Card Design Challenge

Easter can

I am honored to announce that I’m now a part of The Cutting Café Design Team! The designers on this team as SO talented, I hope I can do them proud and hang in there with them. I am relatively new at card making, although I have been crafting all my life. This was my first Design Team challenge, and I will admit I am pretty nervous about sharing my project! My crafting is usually based around baked goodies and packaging containers, so I tried to do something along that line.

I ended up choosing from one of our assigned design sets, the Tulip Shaped Card Set. Using my Cricut Explore, I picked out my card stock and started cutting away. The SVG files work great! Since we were approaching Easter, I decided to decorate a clear paint can I found at Michael’s. I added pony beads to the handle, a tulle ribbon, and then filled it with some Easter grass and iridescent plastic eggs. Voilà!  A new twist on the ordinary Easter basket!

Please stop by the Cutting Café and give these girls some luv. There is so much talent and inspiration to see, you’ll be busy a while. And I can’t recommend Regina’s template sets, cutting files and printable stamp set enough! Since I discovered her when looking for a design for my first ever project (the baby shower invitation) I have barely left the site. Everything I want (and more) is right there. Enjoy!

Butterfly up close and personal!
