Summer Floral Pinwheel

This is a quick summer pinwheel that can be put into flower pots or planter beds, used as yard stakes to line a walkway, or just held and waved around. It is a slightly altered version of Design Space image #M445D4 from the Access image set "3D Pinwheels". I enlarged the holes to fit the purchased pinwheel parts I was using but I have left the original design in the file in case you are doing it DIY style.
Change the paper to match your theme! I love making the patriotic ones to take to summer picnics, parades and BBQs.

For this project you will need a Cricut cutting machine, mat for card stock, two sheets of 8.5x11" double-sided card stock (purchased or print your own), glue or double-sided tape, pinwheel kit (Purchased is optional but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) -OR-  chopstick, unsharpened pencil with eraser, or 1/4 dowel cut to 12 inches long.
You can reduce the size down to fit on a Joy mat, or enlarge the design to fit a 12 x 12 mat for a Jumbo version! As presented, this uses 8.5x11' paper and makes a pinwheel approximately 7' across.

Feel free to ask me any questions. I hope you enjoy this spinner!
